 VTE – THREE-PLY

This innovative “Three-ply”, seam sealed collection is sourced and developed by our Product Development team here in Montreal. It is then sent to Vietnam for high precision manufacturing. The result is a combination of m0851’s design, German engineering and technology, and our Vietnamese manufacturer’s precision craftsmanship.

Three-ply refers to the coupling of 3 layers of fabric; an outer layer, an inner layer, and a membrane sandwiched in between. The laminations of multiple layers increase the durability and strength of the final fabric.

m0851’s VTE – Three-Ply program for men and women transitions from one season to the next seamlessly, worn alone or as a soft shell covering an insulated jacket, resulting in ALL- weather wearability & versatility.

VTE – Three-ply in a few words:

- All-season; waterproof and windproof;
- Lightweight, comfortable, breathable, durable
- Face fabric is a soft brushed peach surface with subtle, laminated luster;
- Timeless rainwear IN multi-layer fusion technical fabric.
- Versatility for all seasons.

A FEW FACTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS IN CARING FOR VTE – THREE-PLY

- The lamination of multiple layers increases the durability and strength of the final composite fabric.
- The outer layer consists of high-density poly-nylon with DWR finish (a durable water repellent), which repels light rain and snow and lends the fabric a quick-dry effect.
- The membrane is made up of billions of tiny pores that keep out water and wind, yet allow perspiration to pass through from the inside. With an inner mesh layer, it achieves next-to-skin comfort and high rate of breathability.
- DWR is not permanent; wear hinders its performance over time. Proper maintenance will revitalize DWR. Test your garment by simply sprinkling a few drops of water to see if it beads up and rolls off. If it stays on the fabric and slightly darkens the section, wash your jacket (follow care        instructions on the label) to revive the DWR.
- If DWR can no longer be revitalized simply by washing the garment, a revitalizing agent can be added to wash cycle (Granger's®, Nikwax®) Follow manufacturer’s instructions.
- Tumble dry your jacket with a low heat setting. Exposure to heat revives DWR.
- WATERPROOF INTEGRITY: m0851 Three-ply rainwear is seam-sealed throughout, including the application of waterproof tape with heat and pressure adding extra protection against water contact.
- Further weather protection, YKK’s AquaGuard® water repellent zippers keep your pockets dry.
